Dungannon woman taken to hospital after house destroyed in fire

A woman has been taken to hospital after a house fire in Dungannon.

The emergency services were called to the incident on Annaghbeg Road, just after 10.20pm on Monday night after receiving reports of a fire at a property.

Upon arrival a woman was inside the house and was taken to safety before and officer carried out first aid on her.

She was later taken to hospital where she remains this morning.

The woman was the only person inside the house.

Inspector Stickland, of the PSNI, said: "Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who helped at the scene last night. Our enquiries into what occurred continue and anyone with information is asked to call us on 101, and quote reference number 1944 of 19/10/20."

A report can also be made using the online reporting form via  www.psni.police.uk/makeareport. Alternatively, information can be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
