Dungannon 'petrol bomb attack' investigation results in 15-year-old charged

A 15-year-old boy has been charged by police investigating an alleged petrol bomb attack on a house containing four people including a baby.

In a brief statement issued on Monday night, the PSNI said detectives “investigating an attack on a house in Killymaddy Hill in Dungannon have charged a 15 year old male and a 34 year old male with a range of offences including arson, possessing a petrol bomb and throwing a petrol bomb”.

The pair are expected to appear at Omagh Magistrates court on Tuesday morning.

Earlier, police said that the alleged incident happened shortly after 9.05pm on Sunday night.

It was reported that a petrol bomb had been thrown at the property, and a garden bench had been used to ram the front door. It was also claimed that a second petrol bomb was thrown into the house.

None of the occupants in the house, which included a man and a woman and young child and a baby, were injured, police say.
