Dundonald crash: Road closed after three-vehicle collision near playing fields

A three-vehicle collision in Dundonald has led to a road closure and diversions in the area, police have confirmed.

The Comber Road at Billy Neill Playing Fields is currently closed due to the three-vehicle road traffic collision.

Police confirmed the news in a statement released just after 10am on Thursday morning, November 4.

The road remains closed, with diversions in place.

A statement from PSNI said: "Please avoid the area if possible or use diversion routes."

No further details have been released regarding injuries. It is also unclear whether emergency services, including Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service staff, are at the scene.

Meanwhile, motorists are also advised that the Lurgan Road in Banbridge is closed in both directions due to a road traffic collision.

Diversions are in place at the Broken Bridge Road and Seapatrick Road junctions. Please avoid the area if possible.
