Dundee vs Motherwell arrest after steward allegedly assaulted by man

A man was arrested at the Dundee vs Motherwell football match after a steward was allegedly assaulted.

The incident reportedly kicked off at Dens Park in Dundee during the Scottish League Cup clash on Saturday afternoon, August 14.

A 25-year old man was arrested in connection with an attack on the staff member.

He was later released pending further enquiry.

The steward was uninjured.

Investigations are continuing as cops probe the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We can confirm that a 25-year old man was arrested within the ground for assaulting a steward.

"The steward was not injured.

"He was released pending further enquiry."
