Airdrie have signed Dundee United youngster Rhys Caves on loan ahead of today's meeting with Peterhead.
The 17-year-old, who lives in the town, has been training with the Diamonds and will go straight into their Covid-hit squad for the clash away to the Blue Toon.
Caves has signed a short-term deal until January.
This morning the Diamonds confirmed their squad had been affected by a Covid outbreak at New Broomfield, with five players understood to have the virus.
So Caves' addition is very timely as the Diamonds look for their first win of the League One campaign.
Gaffer Ian Murray told the club's website: “Rhys has been training with us recently, and we thank Dundee United for their co-operation.

“He’s a good young player who operates predominantly in midfield, and we’re pleased to offer him the experience of being in a first-team setup.
“First and foremost he’s very good on the ball, and we look forward to working with him and improving him as a player.”
