The details for Hibs’ Scottish Cup semi-final clash against Dundee United have been confirmed.
Jack Ross’ side booked their place in the last four with a nail-biting penalty shoot-out victory over Motherwell while Micky Mellon’s men ran out 3-0 winners at Aberdeen the following day.
The draw for the last four took place after St Mirren claimed the final spot last night with a shoot-out victory over Kilmarnock with the Hibees being paired with the Premiership new boys.
That tie will take place on Saturday 8 May with a 4pm kick-off and be broadcast live on Premier Sports.
St Johnstone v St Mirren is scheduled for Sunday 9 May, kick off at 2pm and set to be shown live on both Premier Sports and BBC Scotland.
Saturday 8 May was originally meant to be when this season’s final took place, but had to be pushed back after the was put on hold following the suspension of the Scottish lower leagues.
No fans will be in attendance at Hampden for either the semis or the final, despite the Scottish FA’s attempt to try and switch the game to either Ibrox, Celtic Park, Murrayfield or Tynecastle.
An application was made to allow a small pocket of fans into Hampden when those options didn’t work out, but safety reasons made it impossible.
Hibs face St Johnstone this weekend before focus shifts to United at the national stadium, after which they head to Pittodrie in a match that could see them secure third place in the league just four days later.
