Dundee United check out Equatorial Guinea international Pablo Ganet

Dundee United are running the rule over Equatorial Guinea star Pablo Ganet.

The midfielder is training with Robbie Neilson’s squad this week at their St Andrews’ training camp.

Ganet, who has 15 caps for the country of his dad’s birth, is looking to win a move to Scotland.

The 24-year-old has impressed in the lower leagues in his homeland, Spain, and also in Morocco, where he turned out for Ittihad Tanger.

He has just helped Algeciras win promotion to the Segunda Division.

Ganet came through the youth ranks at Real Betis and then moved on to Malaga. Since then he’s had spells at SS Reyes, Arroyo and San Roque de Lepe.

The player has arrived via the connections of Dundee United’s sporting director Tony Asghar.

The Terrors let midfielder Adam Barton move to Wrexham earlier today on a free transfer.

Earlier this week, Record Sport exclusively revealed Ayr United's goal machine Lawrence Shankland has agreed a deal with the promotion-chasing club.
