Dundee United apologise to fans after stream glitch leads to Betfred Cup blackout

Fans are set to receive a partial refund after Dundee United's stream for their fixture with Peterhead started late.

Arabs didn't get to see any of the action from Saturday's Betfred League Cup game at Tannadice until the 17th minute.

United have blamed a technical issue at their third-party supplier for the blackout and have offered a £5 refund to any supporter affected.

The Blue Toon sprung a shock in the second half with Steven Boyd's strike clinching a memorable 1-0 win for the League One club.

Meanwhile, Dundee United weren't the only side to be hit by glitches as Hearts fans missed the opening nine minutes of their match at Cowdenbeath.

Fans were told of a "technical issue" from East Fife's New Bayview ground, which was acting as a temporary host for the Blue Brazil after flood damage at their usual Central Park home.

A Craig Halkett header secured a 1-0 win for the Jambos.
