Dundee’s Olympia swimming pool is to remain shut until at least early December.
The city’s aquatic centrepiece has been closed since mid October due to ‘issues’ with the lighting.
In a statement released to Dundee Live today, Leisure and Culture Dundee says it will remain closed “until further notice.”
Bosses confirmed a report will be brought to the City Development Committee on 6th December giving an update.
A spokesman said: “As a result of ongoing survey and investigation work, the pools at Olympia will remain closed until further notice.
“A report will be brought to the next City Development Committee, on December 6 outlining next steps for planned upgrading and refurbishment works including various items of plant and equipment, also included will be the estimated closure period.
“The gym and activity studio at Olympia are currently open and this will be reviewed once the refurbishment plan is finalised.
And they added: “All bookings for the pools at Olympia have been suspended. Alternative public swimming access is available at other venues across the city.
“Plans are being put in place to minimise disruption to our customers including clubs, Leisureactive Members and our Learn to Swim participants. We will be in contact with clubs, Leisureactive members and Learn to Swim participants individually about plans that affect them.
“We will continue to provide further updates on our website and social media as they become available. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
