Supermarket giant Tesco appears to be weighing up the prospect of opening a new Express store inside Dundee railway station.
Plans submitted to Dundee City Council show designs for a convenience shop inside one of the vacant units at the station's entrance on South Union Street.
The proposals only cover putting up Tesco signs in the windows - but suggest the British chain has designs on t he Waterfront transport hub.
City planners have given the plans the green light - potentially paving the way for the supermarket to open a new shop to serve commuters and locals alike.

And while the £38 million entrance came complete with a Sleeperz Hotel overhead, two ground floor spaces designed to hold a shop and a cafe have never managed to secure a tenant.
Scottish retail chain Eros Retail - which trades under the Greens brand name - was poised to occupy the unit now being eyed up by Tesco.
However, their plan to open a store was scuttled in 2020 amid claims the council was not interested in taking them on as tenants.
The opening of a new Tesco unit - yards from their existing stores on the Nethergate and Hawkhill - would see the supermarket once again running three shops in the city centre.
The large Murraygate Metro store was forced to close in 2019 after landlords Sports Direct gave the firm its marching orders.
Reports last year suggest that Tesco may also occupy the former Burton and Dorothy Perkins unit on the high street.
