Dundee hit and run sparks police witness appeal

Police in Dundee have launched an investigation after a hit and run left a car badly damaged.

Officers appealed for information following the incident in Broughty Ferry last week.

A spokesman revealed two vehicles were involved in the crash at the junction of Douglas Terrace, Dundee Road and Victoria Road at about 12.25pm last Wednesday.

They added: “One car, a blue Audi A3, stopped at the scene and was substantially damaged.

“The other is described as a small navy blue car, similar to a Fiesta or small Fiat.

“This car did not stop and drove off along Douglas Terrace.”

The spokesman said that as far as officers were aware nobody was seriously injured in the incident.

They asked anyone with information about the crash or who may have dashcam footage to come forward.

The incident reference is 1308 of 15th December.
