Dundee covid booster vaccine drive as locals aged between 50 and 59 urged to book online

NHS Tayside bosses have urged more people to book their Covid booster and flu vaccines.

Anyone aged between 50 and 59 can book a jag online from 15 November.

Unpaid carers and anyone over 16 living in an immunosuppressed household can also organise an appointment from Monday.

You can check your eligibility for a booster here and you can recover your vaccination user name here.

The move follows an apology issued by NHS Tayside over a booking system “error” that saw people waiting up to 90 minutes for their booster jab.

Earlier this month a group of vaccinations had been scheduled for the same time slots at Montrose Town Hall.

A number of vulnerable people were forced to wait in long queues in bad weather as they waited for their appointment.

A spokesperson for NHS Tayside apologised for the delays.

They said at the time: “The booking system error was resolved quickly and we would like to thank everyone who attended for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience this one-off error caused.”
