Dundalk woman Tara McCrave who went missing after Metallica concert found safe and well

A young woman who went missing after Metallica's concert at Slane Castle has been found safe and well.

Tara McCrave, 26, from Dundalk, Co Louth, became separated from her friends at the event and missed her last bus home.

Her family became worried when she did not return home as planned and issued an appeal on social media.

They were unable to contact her as her phone battery had died.

Mother Anne told The Irish Sun she last heard from her daughter at 11.20pm on Sunday night: "She text me to say she had missed her last bus home and her phone was nearly dead.

“I just told her to get on any bus to Dundalk just to make sure she got home.”

Tara had also texted a friend at 11.30pm, saying she was on her own.

Her worried family travelled to Slane the next day to search for her but were unable to find her.

Tara's sister Chloe confirmed on Facebook last night that her sister has been found safe and thanked those who helped search for her.
