Dundalk's potential opponents in Europa League second qualifying round

Dundalk go into the hat for the second round of Europa League qualifying after they were dumped out of the Champions League at the first hurdle.

The scoreline wasn't a fair reflection on the game but a 3-0 defeat to Celje was shortly followed by the departure of manager Vinny Perth from Oriel Park.

It is safe to say that the club are in a crisis with many pointing the finger at their American owners who have quickly moved to appoint little-known Italian Filippo Giovagnoli as their interim boss.

The reigning champions look destined to relinquish their League crown but could find something to shout about in the Europa League.

For Monday's draw in Switzerland, Dundalk are in the champions path with Connah's Quay Nomads (Wales), Floriana (Malta), and Tre Fiori (San Marino) among the 10 possibilities in the hat for them.
