Dundalk Europa League fixtures confirmed while interim boss Filippo Giovagnoli looks set to stay on

Dundalk will begin their Europa League group stage journey at the Aviva Stadium against Norwegian side Molde on October 22 before a trip to the Emirates to take on Premier League giants Arsenal the following week.

That glamour tie is followed by an away fixture with Rapid Vienna in the Austrian capital before Filippo Giovagnoli's men welcome the Austrians to Dublin on November 26.

Lansdowne Road has been confirmed as Dundalk's home ground for their Europa League games and the Lilywhites will wrap up the group phase at the national stadium against Mikel Arteta's Gunners on December 10.

It appears that Italian boss Giovagnoli - who was originally appointed on an interim basis until the end of the League of Ireland season - will stay on in the hot seat.

RTE reports tonight that the club's American chairman Bill Hulsizer is keen for his man to lead the Lilywhites full-time, while Giovagnoli has been open about his desire to hold on to the reins at Oriel Park.

Dundalk's Europa League fixtures

Oct 22: Molde (H)
Oct 29: Arsenal (A)
Nov 5: Rapid Vienna (A)
Nov 26: Rapid Vienna (H)
Dec 3: Molde (A)
Dec 10: Arsenal (H)
