Dundalk have completed the signing of Scottish goalkeeper Cameron Yates and Moroccan forward Sami Ben Amar.
Yates, 22, was a free agent after leaving Wycombe Wanderers in June.
And Ben Amar arrives from the French leagues where he played with Nimes.
Yates is a product of Leicester City's academy and said: "As soon as I got the call, I was very keen to come over.”
And he also had the seal of approval from former Lilywhites star Daryl Horgan who was a Wycombe teammate.
“Daryl is a good mate of mine,” said Yates.
“He sang the praises of the club and the people and the staff that are here so that was another positive for me coming over here.”
Yates has spent the past fortnight training with Dundalk and boss Vinny Perth said: "His fits the DNA of the club and the target for him now is to try and force himself into the first team and become an option for next season.”
Dundalk No 1 Alessio Abibi has endured a mixed season to date and Perth was keen to sign reinforcements.
Ben Amar, who has also been training with the club of late, is French born but has represented Morocco at U23 and U20 level.

He said: "In France, it is difficult for young players if you are not playing and I just want to play football.
"Dundalk have given me the chance to do that and I really want to show what I can do.”
And Perth said: "Sami has raw talent and is someone who can play all across the front three positions and will really excite people."
