Duncan Ferguson gifts sweatband to Everton fan in emotional gesture

Duncan Ferguson has finished his reign as the interim manager of Everton by not only providing a point against Arsenal, but giving fans more special memories they'll remember for a lifetime.

Ferguson famously pulled off a 3-1 home win over Chelsea in his first clash in charge of the club following Marco Silva's exit.

First words from Carlo Ancelotti after taking over as Everton manager

The Scotsman was seen hugging ball boys as part of his goal celebrations that day, something which brought back the connection between the management and the fans.

This continued with his approach in a draw at Manchester United when he took off his jacket because of his intense nature on the sidelines. Fans were again loving his approach on social media.

Carlo Ancelotti has now been installed as the club's new manager and Ferguson is expected to be part of the backroom staff, with the former striker even joking that he might become a 'co-manager' after speaking to Ancelotti over a couple of bottles of wine later.

After that interview with BT Sport on the field, Ferguson proceeded to clap the supporters as he walked off the pitch for the final time as the interim boss before he then ran over to a section of Everton supporters and offered up his tie as a memento, while the video above also shows him giving one fan a sweatband.
