Dun Laoghaire residents overjoyed after popular restaurant Bits N Pizzas announces reopening

Residents of a seaside town in Dublin are delighted as a much loved pizzeria has announced its reopening.

Dun Laoghaire locals were left heartbroken when Bits N Pizzas shut its doors back in February after 32 long years in the business.

But the town is rejoicing after a sign has appeared in the window of the restaurant saying it will be reopening soon.

A picture of the announcement, which was shared on social media, has garnered a number of ecstatic comments as residents are celebrating the news.

One person said: “This is amazing news...I can taste the garlic bread already.”

Another person said: “Best news ever!!!!”

A third person wrote: “Bye, gonna wait outside with my knife and fork.”

The restaurant had closed in February after they revealed that trade isn't what it used to be in the town.

In a previous post, They said: "We here at Bits and Pizzas have enjoyed 32 years of serving you.

"We would just like to express how much we have appreciated all the friends that we have made over the years and how much our customers have enjoyed dining with us.

"However, due to low levels of trade, we regret to inform you that Bits and Pizza will be closing down for the foreseeable future.

"Thanks again to all our customers who have been supporting us for many years."
