Love Island’s most recent dumpee, Sophie Piper, believes her fellow housemate Mike Boateng is definitely playing a game.
The stunning Essex girl, 21, who fellow Islanders chose to dump over Mike has expressed doubts over the former policeman’s actions in the villa.
In her exit interview, Sophie said she was shocked that Mike initially suggested he had romantic feelings for her despite spending two weeks gushing over former Islander Leanne.
“To hear him say that he wanted to get to know me, there was a question there whether he was playing a game,” she admitted.
“It was very awkward when he picked to recouple with me over Leanne.
“I feel like in his mind, he didn’t want to go backwards. Picking her, he felt he would have been going back.”
Whereas sparks certainly didn’t fly between Mike and Sophie, he is now without a couple in the villa.
Sophie further pointed out that his attempts to woo Jess were also making her question how genuine his intentions were. “He said he had all these feelings for Leanne and then switched it off straight away and moved onto Jess.”
“I don’t know if he’s playing a game or not.
“I feel like when things did break off with Leanne, he was scrambling and thinking ‘I need to be in a couple, I need to have a connection in here.”
It’s certainly not the first time that the girls have suggested that Mike is playing a game.
After he shockingly dumped Leanne from the island and chose the recouple with Sophie, his ex Love Island partner expressed fears over Mike’s loyalty.
“I feel like he’s disregarded the two weeks we spent together and I feel like sending me home was a bit of a kick in the teeth,” she admitted in her exit interview.
Similarly, fans might remember earlier in the series when Shaughna was asked during a cheeky game of dares to kiss the islander she believed had the biggest gameplan.
Although she hesitated at first, Shaughna boldly singled out Mike, which had left him visibly annoyed.
Although Mike is now single after failing to get things off the ground with Leanne and Sophie, this all could change when Casa Amor is introduced along with six new, single girls.
