Dumfries Slot Car Club’s open day was a roaring success at the weekend.
Around 25 enthusiastic attendees had a chance to try the new slot car circuit with more visitors joining up on the day.
Host and club founder Ant Hawkes also welcomed racers from Dunfermline and Larkhall clubs and they left suitably impressed, vowing to be back for inter-club racing in the future.
The weekly meetings kicked off with a Le Mans-class event on Monday evening.
On Thursday nights the club expects a larger turnout for sports and saloon racing.
Private groups for special events such as birthday parties, motor club nights out or works groups are always welcome.
