Dumfries nurse wows thousands of viewers with song to keep up spirits during coranavirus

There’s plenty of local heroes in Dumfries and Galloway trying to keep spirits up in the midst of Covid-19.

And one of them is Anne-Marie Cossar, a nurse at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.

Thousands of people have watched a Facebook video of her playing a song she has written to the tune of Gerry Cinnamon's Belter.

Pal and colleague Denise Lyon said: “Anne-Marie is a critical care nurse and has recorded herself singing a song to cheer us up as well as supporting our NHS.

“She is amazing.”
