Dumfries Market Festival finally to get first outing of 2021

The Dumfries Market Festival is to finally get its first outing of the year in Queensberry Square on Saturday .

Open from 10am to 4pm with free admission, organisers The Guild Dumfries, have a number of new makers taking part and lots of the old favourites with entertainment and some live music too.

It will be the start of the market becoming a permanent feature on the second Saturday of every month until November.

Strict social distancing rules and safety precautions will be in place.

Supported by volunteers, the Market Festival offers the opportunity to shop local and support Dumfries town centre and enjoy some of the best makers, creatives, food and drink producers, music and entertainment the region has to offer.

Those taking part include: Ninefold Distillery, Horncraft, Scrappo Worko, Caerlaverock Candles, Mountain Daisy Flower Farm, Annette’s Baking in a box, Tìr-Dhàimh, OchVegan, The Adorned Page, Kirk Soaps, Rossofmoffat, Wagtails Wood Art, Liz Philips, The Dougie Arms, Copeland Walker Art, DCR Online, Natalie Farrell Handmade Saucy Desserts, The Love Bug D&G, The Galloway Fudge Company, The Wee Shade Shop, FAIRY Sawdust, House of Rothach, Ruin & Redemption, Weefairyfolk, Ann Smith Art, Dark Sky Spirits, Pip and Ell, D&G seafoods, B. on the Road, Brigston &Co, The Kitchen Witch, Tweed Valley Venison and Busy Lizzie Art.
