Dumfries Lions Club help spread festive cheer with Christmas tree sale

Dumfries Lions Club members played a fantastic part in spreading bundles of Christmas cheer at the weekend.

Tomorrow and Sunday, they will be back in action selling real Christmas trees just off the Collin bypass on the right at the low Annan Road junction from 10am to 3pm each day.

Having taken specialist advice on the restrictions required to keep customers and club members safe, the Lions are hoping the community will again turn out to support the Dumfries festive institution this weekend after a good response which saw families and individuals come to collect their Christmas trees.

They are also keeping the price at last year’s rates of five foot trees at £20 and five foot plus trees at £25 including netting.

Members will go on to use the cash raised to help others in the community, organisations and individuals where a need is identified.
