Dumfries families head along to Party in the Park in the sun

The late summer sunshine proved a real boost on Saturday for the families who flocked to Dumfries’ flagship Dock Park.

Party in the Park, by DCR Online community radio and Event Vision, provided four hours of live music and entertainment on or near the band stand.

Among the performers were the Corberry Park Pipers; Dumfries teenage singer and songwriter, Freya Cloy; Dumfries dance group, Ultimate Dance Effect; Glasgow’s 14-year-old singer and songwriter, Dean Mach; the Samba Sisters, and an Australian duo now living in the region, Kissing The Flint.

Side stalls included inflatables, rides, tombola, craft stalls, face painting, glitter tattoos, sand art and giant mascots.
