Dumfries crafters and makers launch town centre store in run up to Christmas

More than 20 local crafters and makers, collectively known as the Rosefield Mills Gallery, have launched a pop-up shop at 17 Friars Vennel.

Running up to Christmas Eve, and open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, organisers said there will be regularly updated stock to make sure something new and different is always available to be snapped up.

Rosefield Mills Gallery is a platform for all artists and crafters and public to exhibit, sell and buy art and craft work and meet other artists and the public in Dumfries.

They are regular attenders at Dumfries Town Market with their white tent and are putting it to good use again on Saturday. October 30 when they are turning into a “fright tent” for Hallowe’en with fun and spooky games for kids with prizes to be won.

They are also hosting a children’s fancy dress competition on the Plainstanes at 1.30pm with a prize for the best boy and girl.
