Dumfries couple celebrate diamond wedding delight

A Dumfries couple celebrated their diamond wedding at the weekend.

John and Ellie Murray (nee McQuaker) were married on March 12, 1963 at Old Luce Church, Glenluce, followed by a reception in the North West Castle.

The couple have two children, Jackie and William, five grandchildren, Vicky, Liam, Katie, Leo and Amy and great granddaughter Lucie.

They celebrated their anniversary with their family at the weekend and were delighted to receive a telegram of congratulations from King Charles.
