It’s not Christmas until Dumfries butcher Stuart Houston releases his festive video on Facebook.
And The Standard even makes an appearance in this years cracker which has been described by some as the “best yet”.
The JB Houston Christmas special 2022 features Stuart as Feliz Navidad, his staff, wife Mary and two daughters trying to bring a bit of sunshine to the winter days.
It’s been viewed thousands of times with hundreds of comments from customers and members of the public.
Jane Rodgers commented that she was “sore with laughing and smiling” while watching it.
And Laura Thomas said: “These videos are a part of the festive season now for Doonhamers near and far”.
Chloe Gemmell described it as the “perfect way to bring Christmas spirt and happiness”.
Stuart has also switched on his popular Christmas lights spectacular outside his premises in Greenbrae Loaning despite spiralling energy costs.
He was stunned when he was told that the annual electricity bill for his shop is set to almost triple, from £25,000 to £67,000 this year.
But he still decided to go ahead this year with his lights display. He said: “Every year we light up outside for Christmas. It’s for the kids and marks the start of the festive season for a lot of people.
