A Warm Welcome Space has launched at the Dumfries Baptist Church, Gillbrae Road, on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
Promoted as “free and safe,” the church community are encouraging anyone who is on their own and looking for some company, and a warm place to curb some of the cost of living crisis heating bills, to go along.
On offer will be hot drinks and a soup lunch, as well as a “relaxing time” in the warmth.
The Warm Welcome Space venture will run until April 1 every Saturday.
