Dumfries and Galloway's Scott Steele and Alex Craig in Scotland rugby squad for summer friendlies

Dumfries and Galloway pair Scott Steele and Alex Craig have both been named in the Scotland squad for the summer series.

The pair picked up their first Scotland caps during this year’s Six Nations, Dumfries scrum half Steele making four appearances and Castle Douglas lock Craig making two.

The duo are now part of interim head coach Mike Blair’s 37-man pool for the upcoming friendlies against England A on June 27, Romania on July 10 and Georgia on July 17.

Craig is a former Stewartry youngster who plays his club rugby for Gloucester. Steele was on the books of Dumfries Saints and currently plays for Harlequins.
