The region has seen its lowest single day increase in coronavirus cases for nearly two months.
There are just seven new cases today – the lowest number since there was a single case on December 19.
At one stage in January, more than 100 new cases were being reported every day.
It takes the overall total in Dumfries and Galloway since the start of the pandemic to 3,914.
The number of people being treated in the region’s hospitals also continues to drop, with 28 currently being treated for coronavirus.
Sunday’s figure of 26 was the lowest since there were just 19 people in hospital on January 6.
The highest figure was on January 21 when 75 people were in hospital.
The number of people in intensive care is also dropping, with six patients now in ICU. January 19 was the busiest day when 15 people were in the ward.
In Scotland, there were 559 new cases today, taking the overall total to 192,275.
There are currently 1,428 people in hospital with 102 in intensive care.
As of 8.30am this morning, 1,255,190 people across Scotland had received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
