Dumfries and Galloway coronavirus figures for Tuesday, November 10

More than 1,000 people in Dumfries and Galloway have now tested positive for coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.

A further six people have tested positive in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 1,003.

Of them, 131 cases have been since the start of November.

There are currently 10 people in the region's hospitals, compared to nine yesterday.

There have been a further 832 new cases in Scotland today, taking the total to 75,187.

There are 1,239 people in hospital with 102 in intensive care.

A further 39 people have died, taking the total to 3,079.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is set to announce the first review of the country's tiered restriction system shortly, although it is "highly unlikely" they will be eased.

That will mean Dumfries and Galloway will remain at level two.
