Dumbarton man's family informed after body is found

Police searching for missing Dumbarton man George Sutherland have found a body.

Officers confirmed today (Monday) that the discovery was made between Rosneath Point, Rosneath and Kilcreggan at around 12.10pm yesterday, Sunday, April 5.

West Dunbartonshire care worker reportedly dies from coronavirus

They said the family of George Sutherland, missing since early March, had been made aware.

A spokesperson said: “Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death. The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
