Dumbarton Covid testing centre moves to new town centre location

Dumbarton's Covid-19 testing centre is now based in the car park at the council's headquarters.

The unit was stationed at the Meadow Centre but it has moved following the reopening of the leisure facility.

A spokesman for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde confirmed the move today.

A testing centre was stationed in the town on September 3, weeks after pressure was put on health chiefs to give local people easier access to screening.

It also followed the imposition of restrictions in West Dunbartonshire which were put in place meaning household gatherings are prohibited.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said yesterday that these tougher rules would be in place for at least another week.

Appointments at the centre are available through NHS Inform.
