The off-slip from the Erskine Bridge heading towards Dumbarton will be closed throughout this weekend.
Essential maintenance including repairs to the bridge deck, re-waterproofing and resurfacing is taking place on the northbound sliproad which will be shut from 10pm on Friday until 6am on Monday.
Traffic will be diverted via the A898 off-slip to the A82 southbound.
At Mountblow Rd, traffic will take the off-slip road to cross Mountblow overbridge where traffic will join the A82 heading towards Dumbarton.
The diversion is unsuitable for HGVs who will be led towards the Kilbowie Roundabout before being able to rejoin the A82.
An Amey spokesperson said: “Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s Covid-19 guidance.
“Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.”
