Dumbarton attack: police scour CCTV in bid to track down culprits

Police are scouring CCTV footage in a bid to track down attackers who left a 40-year-old man needing hospital treatment.

The man was pounced upon between 1.40am and 2.10am on Thursday, June 10 at Ardoch Crescent in the Brucehill area of Dumbarton.

Detectives are also appealing for information and witnesses following the serious assault.

The two suspects are described as being under 5ft 11in in height, of slim build and were wearing all dark clothing.

The victim sustained facial injuries which required treatment in hospital.

Detective Constable Mersey of West Dunbartonshire CID said “We are currently carrying out enquiries in relation to this incident, which includes gathering and viewing CCTV footage in the local area to identify those involved.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with any information to contact police.

“If you can assist with our investigation please contact police on 101 quoting incident 0314 of June 10, 2021. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
