Duke Tobin attended Utah State-LSU featuring QBs Jordan Love, Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin was in attendance for Sunday’s game between the Utah State Aggies and No. 5 LSU Tigers.

Effectively the general manager of the 0-4 Bengals, speculation instantly went to the fact the game featured a pair of potential notable NFL quarterback prospects in Utah State’s Jordan Love and LSU’s Joe Burrow.

Yahoo Sports’ Eric Edholm noted it was Tobin in attendance for the Bengals. Both teams boast NFL talent at other spots but Cincinnati’s current predicament makes it easy to focus on the quarterbacks as the main point.

We don’t get a ton of these reports during the college football season because the Bengals like to keep it mum, so it’s especially notable this was Tobin — not just scouts — in attendance.

These Bengals are in a rebuild and Andy Dalton only has one year left remaining on his deal. Seemingly destined for a top pick in the 2020 draft, quarterback could be in play.

On the day, Love completed 15 of his 30 attempts for 130 yards with no scores and three interceptions. Burrow got the better of him in the 42-6 LSU win, completing 27 of his 38 attempts for 344 yards, five touchdowns and one pick.

Generally speaking, both guys are currently viewed as potential first-round passers in a great class for quarterbacks.
