Duke Street Market is back open with all these favourites available for collection

Liverpool’s Duke Street market has reopened for click and collect orders after closing its usual services back in March.

The popular food and drink market, which opened a year ago, has five of its six vendors available on its new website.

Customers can order lockdown treats including halloumi sticks, steak sandwiches, chicken bimimbap, Italian pizzas and more.

People can also add drinks to their order, including wine, Aperol Spritz and a range of beers.

Customers can order to collect a takeaway with social distancing measures in place and hand sanitizing stations to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

Duke Street Market’s General Manager, Lee Bannon-Smith, said: “We’ve been eagerly anticipating the reopening of the market and wanted to return to serving up our quality dishes and drinks to the public as soon as possible but it was essential that we navigated the restrictions carefully before doing so.

“Now that we have a system that works for both the kitchens and our valued guests, we’re delighted with the extensive menu we have available, accompanied by a wide range of cocktails, beers, wines and fizz to keep everyone going through lockdown.”

Following lockdown, the market provided a drop off donation point for the hospitality industry and supported many workers, as well as The Trussell Trust Foodbank.
