Two 13-year-old girls have suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car in Glasgow's east end.
Police and emergency services raced to the scene on Duke Street, near Shettleston Road, at around 4.45pm yesterday following reports of a car colliding with the two children.
Both girls were taken to the Royal Hospital for Children with what police describe as 'serious but not life threatening injuries'.
The road was closed for around two and a half hours while officers carried out their investigations.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police were called around 4.45pm on Thursday, 19 November, 2020 following the report of a car colliding with two children on Duke Street, Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and two 13-year-old girls were taken to Royal Hospital for Children with serious but not life threatening injuries.
"The road was closed for around two and a half hours."
