Duk and McCrorie hand Aberdeen huge boost as skipper Graeme Shinnie returns to lead trio of big guns for Euro push

Barry Robson will have Duk and Ross McCrorie at his disposal for his Aberdeen side's crucial Premiership clash with St Mirren while skipper Graeme Shinnie also returns from suspension.

It's a major showdown for the Dons in their final home game at Pittodrie this term, and one with huge implications. A win over Stephen Robinson's side coupled with a Rangers victory over Hearts at Ibrox and a Scottish Cup triumphant with Celtic will guarantee group stage European football for next season.

That would come with some memorable nights in the north and a major cash injection. Manager Robson had two of his key players missing for Saturday's defeat at Hearts, with Ross McCrorie reportedly edging near a move to English Championship side Bristol City. But the Aberdeen gaffer has confirmed that both his versatile leader and Portuguese fans' favourite will be available for the game. Duk has been struggling with a muscle problem and both will be a welcome boost.

A remarkable turnaround under Robson following Jim Goodwin's departure as boss has put Aberdeen in the third place driving seat. If they can't get the job done at home, they face a final day trip to champions Celtic.
