Coronation Street star Duggie Brown has died at the age of 82.
The soap actor played Ted Spear on the ITV show earlier this year. His character was involved in one of the show's major storylines after Faye Windass hit him with her car, which kickstarted Emma Brooker's exit plot.
He was also renowned as a famous stand-up from Yorkshire who shot to stardom in the 70s with his appearances on Granada's popular show The Comedians. Cannon and Ball star Tommy Cannon took to Twitter to issue a heartfelt tribute to the legendary comedian after his death.

He said: "Really sad to hear about the passing of Duggie Brown, Rest in peace pal, what a funny funny man- thinking of all your friends and family." Duggie's first role was in the iconic Ken Loach film Kes when he played a milkman.
His sister Lynne Perrie also appeared in the film as Mrs Casper and will be best known to Corrie fans for her role as Ivy Tilsley. Other fans took to social media to share tributes to the actor.
Joy said: "So very sad to hear that actor, comedian and King Rat of The Grand Order Of Water Rats Duggie Brown passed away this morning aged 82. A gentle, witty and talented man and a good friend, he will be sadly missed and forever in our thoughts"
Mark added: "R.I.P. Duggie Brown."
