Duffy admits he'll rotate his squad as Dumbarton prepare to face Forfar

Jim Duffy admitted there are plenty of tired legs in the dressing room as his side prepare for a third game in seven days.

The Sons take on Forfar Athletic tonight (Tuesday) after recording back-to-back home victories against Clyde and league leaders Raith Rovers to haul themselves clear of relegation danger.

Three points against the ninth-placed Loons looks like it will be enough to secure another season of League One football.

However Duffy revealed he is likely to make changes this evening. He said: “A lot of boys are tired after the shift they put in on Saturday.

“Rico (Quitongo) and Sam (Wardrop) both had cramp by the end so from that point of view we had to freshen things up at the weekend and we’ll have another look at things against Forfar.

“Kyle Hutton will still be out and Ryan Tierney missed Saturday’s game due to illness but we won’t know until Tuesday if he’s available.”

Kick-off at the Rock tonight is 7.45pm.
