4. CNN hires Lewandowski
CNN has hired former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski as a political analyst, Politico reported. Lewandowski said he has “a strict confidentiality agreement with Mr Trump”.
5. Trump forgives loans to campaign
Trump announced his campaign would not have to pay him back nearly $50m he had lent it. “This money is a contribution made in order to Make America Great Again,” Trump said.
6. Democrats end sit-in
After 26 hours of protesting, Democrats in the House of Representatives ended a sit-in to advance gun control legislation. Speaker Paul Ryan called it a “publicity stunt, a fundraising stunt”.
