Dude Perfect Trick Shot Troupe Hits World Record Basketball Shot

Dude Perfect’s trick shot ability has gotten more and more impressive as the group has gained popularity over the years. For its latest trick, the five-man content creation crew set a world record for the highest successful basketball shot.

The group traveled to Las Vegas, where Beardo stood in the SkyPod Tower, 856 feet above the hoop. He then dropped the ball directly down, and it swerved its way into the hoop to set the record.

Previously, the Guinness World Record for highest basketball shot was just over 660 feet, a record set by Australian YouTuber Derek Herron in 2018. Herron broke Dude Perfect’s previous record of a 553-foot basketball shot set earlier in 2018.

According to Twitter personality Joe Pompliano, Dude Perfect spent three days in Las Vegas trying to pull off the feat and was able to do it in the last hour of filming. The group now holds 14 Guinness World Records.
