Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf lists his home in Corona del Mar for $7.2 million

May 04--With his season having come to an early close, Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf has turned his attention to business away from the ice, listing his home in Corona del Mar for sale at about $7.2 million.

Found within the Cameo Shores community, the two-level home features white-walled interiors, a custom entertainment room and whole-house surround sound. A wall of sliding doors and windows takes in views extending from the coastline to Catalina.

Formal living and dining rooms, a study/den, an updated kitchen, four bedrooms and five bathrooms are within more than 5,400 square feet of space. French doors off the master suite open to an ocean-facing balcony.

An inner courtyard holds a swimming pool and spa. Elsewhere, a wide terrace balcony extends toward the ocean.

Joseph Martelli of Joseph Martelli Real Estate Investment is the listing agent.

Getzlaf, now in his 11th NHL season, has spent his entire career with the Ducks, making three all-star teams. The 30-year-old won a Stanley Cup with Anaheim in 2007 and has twice won Olympic gold medals with the Canadian national team (2010, 2014).

He is entering the fourth year of an eight-year, $66-million contract extension he signed in 2013.

It's a quick turnaround for the center, who purchased the ocean-view home last year for $6.1 million. It's also surprising considering another recent move: Last week, he sold another home in the Tustin area for $3.75 million.
