Duck Bay Marina on Loch Lomond unveils its new look restaurant

Loch Lomond venue Duck Bay has completed the first stage of a major refurbishment as it unveiled its new look restaurant, coffee shop and bar.

The Duck Bay Marina near Balloch - comprising the the restaurant, hotel and cottages - are hospitality group Cawley Hotels & Restaurants’ flagship location. It was f ounded in 1985 by Bobby Cawley and wife Margaret and the business has grown to include the House of Darrach coffee shop and gift shop in Gartocharn and four restaurants - Loch House in Lochwinnoch, Coast in Inverclyde, Boardwalk in Falkirk and River House in Stirling.

The company is now run by Bobby and Margaret’s children Alan and Margo.

The renovation was carried out with the support of a loan refinancing from Barclays, who would not disclose how much finance was involved.

Alan Cawley, who is managing director of Cawley Hotels & Restaurants, said: “Later this year we’ll roll out further refurbishment to our hotel rooms. It’s an exciting time for the business and it is great to have the support of Barclays as our financial partner."
