Dublin Live took to the streets of the capital to find out how people would describe the city.
There were some mixed responses, with some very strong opinions thrown in.
One thing that most Dubs agreed on is that you can't beat the people.
One woman said: "The best thing about living in Dublin is the people. Especially the Liberties. You won't beat the Liberty people."
Another said Dublin is a "mad place'" but she said "you can't beat pure Dublin people'.
While many also mentioned the pubs and the craic, there was one complaint that came up. Dublin needs a clean up!
One local woman described the city as "filthy", saying "I can't believe the streets are so dirty."
Another lady had a similar complaint, saying: "I love Dublin but it's filthy. People have no respect for where they live. They don't care where they dump their rubbish. And nobody does anything about the dogs poo."
