Dubliner was terrified of giving superstar Sandra Bullock Covid during hug

Rising Irish star Aisling Franciosi was terrified of giving Hollywood legend Sandra Bullock Covid while filming.

New movie The Unforgivable was shot during the pandemic and one scene entailed the actresses hugging while cameras shot from different angles.

Aisling, star of The Fall and Black Narcissus, said she wasn’t nervous about working with the A-list star, but anxious about that scene.

The Dubliner, 28, said: “I had to hug her for a solid 10 minutes while we got a shot, and I was both petrified and happy.

“Petrified because I was thinking, pleeeease don’t let me be the one to give Sandra Covid on this job, but happy because, well, I was hugging Sandra Bullock!”

In the film, released later this month on Netflix, 57-year-old Bullock plays a woman recently released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime.

The story shows her re-entering a society that refuses to forgive her past.

Aisling plays Katherine, Bullock’s younger sister.
