Dublin Zoo tickets latest - how to book a slot as Phoenix Park spot to reopen this month

Following the government's recent announcement that will see certain restrictions eased and lifted, Dublin Zoo will be opening up to the public again very soon.

From 26 April -subject to the prevailing public health situation - all outdoor visitor attractions can reopen which includes zoos, open pet farms, heritage sites.

Since the announcement was made, Dublin Zoo has confirmed that they'll be welcoming the public back to the popular location but this will be done at a reduced capacity and under strict health and safety protocols.

In a statement, they said: "After more than a year of having to open and close our gates, we are working hard to prepare Dublin Zoo to welcome back our valued visitors once more.

"Animal, staff and visitor safety is paramount at Dublin Zoo and we are extremely grateful for your support. We look forward to welcoming you back to Dublin Zoo!"

For those that are interested in visiting the popular Phoenix Park attraction, do note that tickets will be available in the coming weeks and that Dublin Zoo will communicate the opening of the online booking via their social media pages and website.

Tickets go on sale in the coming weeks but it's worth noting that tickets to attend Dublin Zoo’s Outdoor Safari Trail must be pre-booked online in advance too.

Tickets can not be purchased at the gate.

In terms of Covid-related changes, visitors at Dublin Zoo will continue to travel through the attraction by following an outdoor, one-way walking route which reinforces strict social distancing.

Internal animal houses and playgrounds will be closed to the public until further notice too.

Toilet and cafe facilities will also be available as per the norm.
