Dublin weather today: What is the weekend forecast for Ireland after ex Hurricane Storm Lorenzo Met Eireann warning?

As Storm Lorenzo moves over Ireland, Friday is set to bring hazardous conditions to the early morning commute on Friday as debris from trees and structures weaken due to the passing storm.

Temperatures will reach highs of 19C as winds continue to ease off but as the day goes on, it will become mainly dry with brighter weather developing.

Friday night will have patchy outbreaks of drizzle and rain with temperatures falling to as low as 9C with misty and fog patches in spots.

Speaking about Saturday, Met Eireann said: "Saturday, will start out mainly dry and cloudy with outbreaks of rain arriving early in to the west, spreading eastwards and turning heavy with the risk of spot flooding.

"It'll start to clear the west coast by the time it arrives in the east. Highest temperatures 15 to 19 degrees. The fresh to strong southeast wind will veer westerly with the clearing rain."

Saturday night will have temperatures of around 9C with a few isolated showers but mainly a dry night in store.

Temperatures of 17C will hit on Sunday but that won't stop the rain from taking over.

Showers could possibly become heavy and bring with it more spot flooding for the capital.

A status yellow gale warning and a small craft warning were both issued at 5am on Friday morning as strong winds affect the coast.

As well as this, Met Eireann still has two warnings in place as Storm Lorenzo passes over the capital.
