Dublin weather today: Time to bundle up as temperatures are set to fall to 1C

It’s time to bundle up as Met Eireann has warned of “colder than average” temperatures this week.

Today will start off misty but mostly dry which will change as outbreaks of light rain are expected later in the morning and into early afternoon.

Temperatures will range between 9C to 10C. Tonight will see dry weather with clear spells but it’ll be cold with temperatures hitting the lows of 1C.

But things are set to look up tomorrow as it’ll be a dry and bright day with good sunny spells. It’ll be colder with temperatures of 5C to 8C.

The national outlook says it’ll be much drier than normal and “colder than average due to frosty nights”.

Friday night will see widespread frost but it’ll be dry in most areas except for south Munster which will see outbreaks of rain.

Saturday will be a dry and bright day with temperatures struggling to hit double digits.

A Met Eireann forecast said: “A widespread severe frost will follow for Saturday night.

“SUNDAY: Other than isolated light showers near north coasts, Sunday will be another cool, but fine and dry day with variable small amounts of cloud and good sunny spells.

"Winds will be light and variable mainly from the northwest. Another widespread sharp frost will follow for Sunday night.

“MONDAY: Except for the odd spot of drizzle near northwest coasts, Tuesday will be another dry day after a frosty start, it'll become milder as southwest breezes freshen.”
